Spy Movies
Interested in Spy Movies? Some are more serious than others, but spying's always exciting to look at!
This page is not meant as the end-all-be-all of spy movies, but if you want to know more about spying quote-unquote "Hollywood Style", then here's a good place to start!
I've ranked them in several categories.
James Bond / 007 Movies
James Bond is the quit-essential Hollywood style spy. No "lay low, inconspicuous" kind of guy, but a high-profile dashing secret agent. In reality, he wouldn't last a day, being burnt on first appearance. But no movie list wouldn't be complete without the 007 spy movies. In fact, James Bond deserves a categorie all by his own!
Spy Comedies
I know... James Bond is comedy to us real life spies. And so are most of the other spy movies. Hollywood sure has a strange look on spying. Anyway, these are created as comedies:
- Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery (1997)
- Austin Powers: The spy who shagged me (1999)
- Austin Powers: Goldmember (2002)
- I Spy (2002)
- Johnny English (2003)
- Spy Hard (1996)
Spying for Kids
Aaah... melts my heart. Spying is so appealing to children of all ages. This stuff is what got me started.
Drama / Thriller
So here are the movies meant to depict a more... serious, realistic spy (muffled laughing).
- A Beautiful Mind (2001)
- Safe House (1998)
- Spy Game (2001)
Documentary / Reality
This is more spy - documentary style. Or reality show.
