‘Octopussy’ (1983)
This is the thirteenth movie of the Bond series and Roger Moore plays 007 in ‘Octopussy’.
The movie starts with a fatally wounded agent 009 entering the British Embassy in West Berlin. After he dies a fake Fabergé egg is found with the body.
Meanwhile the real egg turns up at an auction house in Britain. Agent James Bond is sent to uncover the truth behind the whole affair.
When Kamal Khan an exiled afghan prince buys the egg, Bond follows him back to India. It turns out that Soviet General Orlov is providing khan with invaluable Soviet treasures while putting fake pieces in their place.
To smuggle them to the west khan has enlisted the help of ‘Octupussy’. Octupussy is the leader of the "Octopus cult” and runs legitimate businesses along with a smuggling ring.
Bond makes her an ally but Khan has already got the canister to be smuggled by Octupussy with a nuclear bomb. He then learns that Khan’s plan involves detonating the bomb in West Germany. This would cause Europeans to demand disarmament hence leaving them defenseless against Orlov’s army...

Agent Y's Opinion
This is probably Moore’s best performance in the Bond series. Exotic locations and over the top characters make up for a weak plot. A must see for fans of James Bond series.
